Marine navigation is a blend of both science and art.

Point of union between the knowledge of the theory, the application of the mathematics and the use of the marine instinct that have demonstrated, for millennia, of being the crucial elements behind the success of trips by sea.

A good navigator is one who plans each voyage carefully. As the vessel proceeds, he or she gathers navigation information from a variety of sources and then evaluates this information to determine the ship's position.

A good navigator also anticipates dangerous situations well before they arise, and always stays “ahead of the vessel,” ready to address navigational emergencies at any time.

Navigation methods and techniques vary with the type of vessel, the conditions, and the navigator's experience. The navigator uses the methods and techniques best suited to the vessel, its equipment, and conditions at hand.

Corso di vela

From scratch (or almost) to competent sailor. The course for everyone.

The scope is that to supply the preparation and the theoretical/practical competences necessary for a aware and active presence on board, from the daily trips to offshore cruises.

Understand and perform the main maneuvers according to the instructions of the Skipper or be proactive, aware of doing the right thing, will make you feel active part of any crew.

Knowing how to deal with troubled weather conditions, really help during a berth, interpreting what the elements around us tell us and many other small but important things will increase your confidence and the pleasure of sailing.

If you have already experienced the sailing boat, if you liked it but you felt not useful on board, if you felt awkward or not up to the situation this is the course for you.

If you are planning a sailing holiday but you fear that you will not be able to make an effective contribution to life on board just because you have never done so, this is the course for you.

You will acquire the necessary knowledge to disentangle easily and safely among the many needs related to going to sea, providing a valuable contribution to the life on board and to the safety of you and all the crew.

In the end you will be satisfied with your commitment to have achieved a whole series of new skills that will be useful for future activities such as racing, sailing courses or, more simply, as a solid basis for further new experiences.

The theoretical topics of the syllabus will be deepened remotely (with the support of slides). On board, both at berth and in navigation, the acquired concepts will be put into practice.
The practice at sea will be made according to the weather conditions and in any case on exclusive evaluation and decision of the Skipper.

I wanted a different cruise. A colleague of mine told me about this reality and after customizing some details I booked an exclusive cabin. A week that allowed us to reach Capri. Competent and kind people.

We met Vincenzo by chance in a club. Speaking of sailing, although we had no experience, he proposed a weekend in Ponza. It was an exciting experience despite the initial hesitation due to inexperience.

A dinner and the sunset as background was my birthday gift for my girlfriend. A new experience suggested by a mutual friend. We chose the catering service that we had been offered and we did not regret the quality of a restaurant. A beautiful evening.
